Referrals
You can obtain a referral known as a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP. You're able to have 10 sessions per calendar year that medicare will rebate. Currently the rebate amount is $141.85. Your first referral will provide you with 6 sessions and after a review with your GP you can get another referral for 4 sessions.You can also see Matt without a referral and depending on your private health insurance you may be able to claim with them.
Cancellation Policy
New Eyes Psychology operates a 24hr cancellation policy. If you need to cancel your appointment please provide as much notice as possible as appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full cost of the appointment (which cannot be claimed with Medicare).
Sessions
Sessions run for 50-60mins. Your first appointment will be a getting to know each other session where we'll start to go over your history and what has brought you along to therapy. We'll then discuss how often our subsequent sessions need to be and what our treatment plan is.
Reports
New Eyes Psychology does not provide letters or reports for Work Cover, Medico-Legal matters, or other court related matters.
Fees
The current session fee at New Eyes Psychology is $280 (with the medicare rebate of $141.85 the out of pocket cost is $138.15 per session). New Eyes Psychology fees are below The Australian Psychological Society (APS) current recommended fee of $311
